What happens during the pledge period?
When and how do I rush?
If you are interested in rush please check out our "recruitment" tab or contact our membership director at lleschefsky1@live.ndm.edu. Rush happens twice a year in the fall and spring semester. There will be events during the rush week to get to know the members of the sorority and learn our purposes. We encourage anyone interested in joining to come out to the events !
Pledging is a time to get to know Omega Phi Alpha and our history and values as well as your future sisters. During the semester you will meet every week for lessons on the sorority and engage in service activities. Pledging lasts all semester and at the end sisters are activated as long as all requirements have been fulfilled.
How is Omega Phi Alpha different from other sororities?
Omega Phi Alpha is a national service sorority that differs from social sororities found at other universities. Our main focus is engaging in different categories of service and forming a bond with out sisters. Omega Phi Alpha is the only sorority found on Notre Dame of Maryland's campus. We still participate in activities that social sororities do such as rush week, pledging, big/little pairings, and formal.

What is Omega Phi Alpha's Hazing Policy?
We have a zero tolerance policy for hazing and harassment.
